Love Scene - Fundraiser

If you're in the New York area the producers of "Love Scene" and "Tough Love" are holding a fundraiser on November 18 to raise money for the production of the films. Below is some info, with a link to the Facebook event page.

Description - Evening to benefit two short films dealing with unconventional empowerment created with the intention of bringing about better opportunities for women in the film industry. A portion of the procedes will be donated to a New York City Women's Battered Shelter.

The event will open with a spa and cocktail hour to relax and unwind, in which attendees are encouraged to relax, mingle, and take advantage of massages, manicures, tarot readings, and life/empowerment coaching.

This will be followed by an all female variety show with stand-out comedienne and Desiree Burch hosting a line-up of award winning female comediennes Becky Donohue, Shayna Ferm, Helen Hong, Livia Scott and Ophira Eisenberg, a group of women featured on "Comedy Central," VH-1, CNN, "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," as well as participants in several comedy festivals throughout the country.
